Should I format?

So I just got a new motherboard with a new socket type. I have three options. Should I format my disc and isntall windows, install windows without formatting, or just using it as is. I think I should at least reinstall windows but I don't know if I should format or not. If I have to format it is not that big of a deal. I have all of my game saves backed either on the steam cloud or a flash drive. I just hate having to reinstall everything.

most likely you can just plug in the HD and install the drivers for the motherboard. also windows may need activated and it would need another key. try call MS and see if they will give you one simply because you upgraded the motherboard. if not you will have to buy one.

No I have used wondows 7 for a product that has been used previously it just deactivates it on the old PC.
