I have lenovo m58p

http://www.pcworld.com/product/59554/lenovo_thinkcentre...

My processor is an old Intel Core2 Pentium III Xeon 3.00 GHz (according to Everest and Control Panel)

I was thinking of getting a cheap second generation i processors.

like an i3 or i5.

but anything with good integrated graphics(with good dedicated to) would be nice.

around 50-100 dollars is my price range

Yeah, that's definitely wrong info. I think you need to down load a microsoft hot fix to correct the issue, but I'm not sure which one you need. Based on the link, your PC has a socket 775 CPU.

The Core i3/i5/i7 uses a different socket. There are no socket 775 CPU with integrated graphics. You will need to install a video card for better graphics performance.

To get another socket, do i need to get another motherboard?

yes and you might just as well do a complete rebuild motherboard+CPU is about 1/3+ of the total price for a whole system.

On topic of integrated GPU, what is your intended use? integrated gpu in sandy bridge can do normal websurfing, movie play back well but can't play much game.

Get a new LGA1155 Mobo, a 2nd Gen i3/i5/17 CPU and DDR3 RAM.
The intel HD graphics are not very good, you can play games like CS:S...

If you simply need more graphic performance, get an HD5670.

Graphics performance is not a big deal for me. I play fsx at 30 fps average.

I'll think about that motherboard.

But are you sure that motherboard will fit in my case? As you can see on the link, my mother board is pretty wierd.

It is not a standard atx format, so no a new motherboard wouldn't fit

Also for a graphics card you cannot upgrade with your current pc. It doesnt allow expansion cards.

Sorry you are sol with your current pc. It cannot be upgraded.

You can build a cheap i3-i5 build for cheap though (300$) if you would like, but nothing at $50-100
