Quick Compatability Question

Does this Mobo work with 3rd gen i5? ive looked and i think it only works with 2nd gen but want second opinion

Yes, but only with a BIOS update (which can only be done with a Sandy Bridge CPU).

Hmm, that's actually a good question, but I would imagine that if it's a pre-built system, it should already have the right BIOS flashed onto the board. I would hope so, anyway, if the company knows what they're doing.

It's a bit strange that they would even do that, though, and not go with a H77 (or any 7 series) board... A H61 (or any 6 series) board on a new build with an Ivy CPU just doesn't make much sense.

Edit: You do mean buying a system with that board AND that i5 already installed, right? If you don't, then it won't work.
