Sound Card/Gaming Headset help

I just purchased a HT Omega Striker 7.1 pci sound card and have really been looking into getting the astro a40 wired system for them. I recently seen a very good deal for the Tritton ax pro's which were another headset I have been looking into. I was wondering if anyone had a suggestion or opinion on this. Can the Tritton ax pros work with a good sound card and benefit from it (as much as the astro a40's)? Please explain details lol thanks
