Compining two diffrent manufactures for sli ?

i already have GTX 580 asus DCII with core clock 782mhz i will sli it soon can i do so with evga because its cheaper than asus the evga core clock is 797mhz

You can.When you sli them the driver will sync the clocks to the lower of those which is the asus's 782 or you can overclock the asus to much the speed of the evga.
