First, my current setup.. (no overclocking currently, may try it out but simple build for now)
CPU - i7 950 @ 3.07
Memory - DDR3, 6GBs (3x 2gb) @ 1600 , side note, will be adding 6 more GBs of the same sticks soon.
Motherboard - GIGABYTE GA-X58-USB3
Power supply - 950w corsair (over kill i know)
Full size case with plenty of cooling.
Games: WoW, CoD MWF2, Battlefield BC2, Crysis, etc.
Now, down to the question at hand, I am looking to run eyefinity at 3x 1080p monitors. Now, at this resolution what kind of benefit would I get by going with a 6950 2gb over a 6870 1gb. Basically, at the higher resolution will the second GB make much of a difference, all the reviews I've seen at single display sizes place them neck in neck, making the 6870 a better value, however I have yet to run across a review showing the benefits (or lack there of) at 3x monitor resolutions. Thank you for any advise or further reading you can point me to, I can also update with any additional info as needed.
