Intel Dual core Vs Intel Core i3?

I wanted to ask the following question:

Intel Dual Core E6600 3.06Ghz(4MB Cache) Vs Intel Core i3 2100 3.1 Ghz (3MB Cache).
How much difference is there?

    The Intel® Pentium® E6600 is using the older Intel Core™ microarchitecture just like the Intel Core 2 Duos. The Intel Core i3-2100 is one of our 2nd generation Intel Core processors which can yield as much as a 30% performance improvement over the older Intel Core 2 Duo processor at the same speed.
