hi everyone

just a quick question. I am running an i7 2600k OCed to 4500, but however recently i have had some issues with double posting and I would like to know how to check my CPU clock speed while in Windows.

I have checked under the system tab and its telling me 3.4

I have run a Current and Max Clock speed in the command prompt and its still giving me 3401

if my OC is unsuccessful could anyone work with me on figuring out a solution?

prime 95 is widely used, run it with small ftt's for 24 hrs while monitoring your temps.

Run something that will prompt your processor to pick up speed.....OCCT would be my you voltage and temps on screen while running. prime95 will do, Linpack, etc.

Cpuz will tell you what speed the cpu is actually running at. And use the programs as others have said, you are supposed to stress test to make sure your OC is stable. Sounds like you read a bad OC guide or didn't read the whole thing. I hope you OCed right, it's something you don't want to do wrong.

Download CPU-Z That will give you all of the information of the CPU, speeds, voltages, etc. Then use prime95 or OCCT, I personally prefer OCCT. I would run 6 hours of OCCT. Here are both links. and If it passes, you are golden. If it doesn't, it is not stable. OCCT is good at monitoring temps too, so no need to download something to monitor it, but if you want, use this.

Hope this helped! :)
