BIOS flash

Hello, I am trying to update my BIOS so i can enable fan controls. I have tried running the ASUS update app but it always fails to connect for an internet download and i can't get the AFUDOS file to run either. Any suggestions? I am running window 7 with a P6T board and an Intel CPU.

Never use ASUS Update to flash you BIOS! You are likely to brick the motherboard. My method to to use a NTFS4DOS boot CD. Put AFUDOS.exe and BIOSFILE.bin on your C:\ drive. Boot with NTFS4DOS CD and type c: <enter> and run afudos to flash the BIOS.

Thanks Kent, I will try this. Asus update was failing anyway. For the better apparently.
