Are you sure the $189 is Rev3??? I was looking at the
"256MB Mushkin w/ Samsung PC133 *MUSHKIN SPECIAL (LIMITED QUANTITY) $ 189" and it doesn't say Rev 3...

I think Grizely1 was just commenting that you could get a 256MB mushkin module for $189, even if it isn't the high perf. stuff.

The High Perf. REV.3 only comes in 128MB sticks and costs $133. Which is still a great price.

Crucial Still rules! You can get a 128MB PC133 CL2 stick of Crucial RAM for $91.79, AND you get free 2nd day shipping. A whole $40 less for the better stuff. mushkin does use the nice Black PCB though.

Hey Guys,

I'm curious. I haven't done any extensive search for this yet, but does anyone know off hand of a comparative memory review that includes Crucial CAS2 RAM? I've read quite a few reviews, but the Crucial memory was always CAS3 and thus didn't do that well when overclocking the FSB...as compared to other CAS2 memory like Micron and Mushkin.

Mike,

Micron is Crucial.... Crucial is just a division of Micron that is soley for making memory. So any reviews using Micron CL2 is the same thing as Crucial CL2.

Hope this helps...

Thanks Sock. Yeah, I realize they're part of the same company. I also just realized that I meant to put Corsair in my last post instead of Micron. I know the Corsair 133-CAS2 currently uses Micron chips, but I wonder whether Crucial uses the same grade chip and what difference the PCB (presumably different) between Corsair and Crucial makes.
