I am having a really hard time getting Eyefinity to work. Every time it duplicates the desktop on either screen rather than giving me super widescreen. Here is my set up:
Windows 7 Ultimate
Intel i7 920 with 6gb DDR Ram (Duoubt this matters but I include for completeness)
Sapphire Radeon HD5970 Black Edition
1 x Benq V2220 connected with XFM Active Mini Display Port Adapter via a DVI Cable (CCC correctly identifies this as Mini DP)
1 x Benq V2220 connected via DVI to VGA converter and a VGA cable
1 x LG425000 connected via DVI to VGA converter and a VGA cable
All resolutions 1920 x 1080
When I look in create and arrange displays in ATI Catalyst each reads "Eyefinity Duplicate".
Desktop properties and Screen Resolution on Windows 7 shows 5760 x 1080 as an available resolution but when selected the screens remain duplicated (in fact it sometimes crashes Windows).
I have RMA'd the active adapter so that is unlikely to be the problem. I thought perhaps that the VGA cables might be an issue as they're analogue but it states in the Eyefinity setup guide that VGA adapters is one possible configuration.
I have tried to setup using both
