Asus crosshair Formula
6gb Gskill ripjaws
Xigmatic 700W earth watts Modular PSU
Cooler master Haf 922 Case with 5 led fans
Coolermaster v8 Heat sink

currently i am using a hd6850, and am planning to upgrade to 6950 as my 6850 is selling for a very good price after 9 months of usage....will 6950 preform at its full potential or will my system bottleneck it??

thnx in advance

I wouldn't worry about it.

incidentally, are you running your RAM in dual channel?

I'm assuming you're gaming, what game(s) are you going to play?

irrelevant cuecue, he wants to upgrade his graphics card, not his entire system and the 1090t will function perfectly well with that setup

Completely relevant. A 1090t will work great with a 6950 in most games but will bottleneck it in others. That seems to have been the OP's question, so I was just helping him get to the answer.

currently i have preety much every latest game on the market

Playing Skyrim these days with all graphic mods

GTA IV modded with ultra textures and IC enhancer

Crysis 2 with dx11 and ultra textures

LA noire

Saints Row 3

War in the North

preety much i play all the latest games

howerver

my LCD is just 19 inches
so the max resolution i use is 1280 X 1024

i have a 32 Inch LED aswell which i occasionaly use with the HDMI cable

but most of the time i prefer the small lcd

@ cuecuemore

i didnt wanted to upgrade to HD6950 as HD6850 was preety much ok for me but since i got a hd6950 i wanted to make sure if its not being bottlenecked as it has alot more juice than hd6850

You'll run into some bottlenecking in some things, but it will be slight. I know this for absolute certain, as I used to run an X4 965 @ 4.3GHz (outperforms 1090t by a good bit in games) and it would bottleneck even a single GTX 460 occasionally. Of course, a 6950 is a good bit more powerful than a 460. After upgrading to SLI, the bottlenecking was ridiculous in some games, even on LN2 and nearly 6GHz. I'm not trying to discourage you, just give you the facts. What it boils down to is that the 1090t and 6950 are a good match for most games.

I just got myself a samsung 22 inch led, so what u recon that i overclock the 1090t to higher clocks of say 4ghz,will that help,i tried batman arkham city n am gettin 40+ fps at ultra dx11 details,i m a noob when it comes to overclockin so help will b greatly appericated. Thnx in advance

Overclocking it will get you a long way, and Batman AA shouldn't be cpu bottlenecked for you, iirc. With a CM V8, temps shouldn't be a problem up to 4.0GHz, it will just be an issue of balancing your voltages and getting them as low as possible while still stable.
