Hello,
I have a Asus Sabertooth 990FX and have a
CORSAIR XMS 32GB (4 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMX32GX3M4A1600C11

My motherboard only read 16GB out of the 32GB. Am I suppose to do something? I have also updated my Bios to the latest version. But however WIndows 8 Read 32GB but only 16GB Usable (any idea about this also?)

Thank you,

If your motherboard supports XMP 1.3 Memory Profiles, then you have to enable it in the Bios.

You need windows 7 pro , ultimate or enterprise to use above 16 gigs of ram.

Home premium 7 can only address up to 16 gigs.

That´s it -- an Intel feature.
