I have 2 HD's: ata66 WD 10G and ata100 ibm 30G

they are connected to Promise ata100 controller

i would get CRC error when transfering compressed file or a large batch of files when transfering from one HD to another, but not within just one

what are the possible problems and what can i do to prevent it?

system spec: win2000 server
256ram, PIII450
Asus P2B-F(?) board

how are they connected master slave etc, what driver/ver are you using for controller is this seperate card or integrated? etc more info needed

ata100 HD is connected to primary master of ata100 control card

ata66 HD is connected to secondary master of ata100 control
card

the control card is bought separately, and driver build is 1.60 (Promise Ultra100 IDE)
