So i have an old pc,
i wanna upgrasde the graphics card from an 8400gs to Radeon 5570.

I will only be doing some casual gaming, is there any other card that will run on my psu?

I've a AMD Athlon 64 X2 2.1gh,
3gb ram,
a single hdd.

So will the 5570 run on my pc? The 8400gs works fine on my pc and i've a tight budget so upgrading the psu isn't an option.

Why the 2GB, I can guarantee that the HD 5570 will not be able to utilize it, and you will be better off buying the cheaper 1GB version. Also, how much AMPs(+12V Rail) are on the PSU, that's what really matters.

well the 2gb is on sale on piximania, i'm from ireland so i'm limited to buying stuff from local websites. and its 14a +12V Rail on the psu

Tell us what the PSU sticker says under "12V", it depends on that number but I think it's pushing it.

on the psu it says 12V2 --- 14.0a

all i see is that, if that is of any help.

I'm assuming then you have 12v2 and 12v1, both at 14.0a. Well, that's only 168W max per rail, and probably more like 200W-240W for both combined. For that system it should be o.k with a 5570, unless it's complete crap of course :D .

To be sure, what does it say under "12V1"?
