Can I buy this card (Gigabyte GeForce GTX 560Ti 1GB PhysX PCI-Express 2.0, "Super Overclock) and use it over the summer until I can buy a new CPU?

I could wait with buying a gpu but i need 1 gpu for my second pc, and therefor I buy a new GPU and put my old Gt8800 in the second pc.

My computer specs:
CPU type DualCore Intel Core 2 Duo E6850, 3000 MHz (9 x 333)
Hovedkort Asus P5N-D (2 PCI, 2 PCI-E x1, 2 PCI-E x16, 4 DDR2 DIMM, Audio, Gigabit LAN, IEEE-1394)
2 X Corsair XMS2 CM2X2048-6400C5 2 Gb DDR2-800 DDR2 SDRAM 400 MHZ

I think I will try to clock my CPU aswell if will make it better for my GTX 560 TI.
Will my motherboard be able to handle a new good cpu and the GTX 560?

What is more important is what is your current PSU? Judging by the rest of your system Im guessing its not very good. Also, you would probably be bottlenecked by both you ram and your cpu, so the upgrade, although still noticable would not be as big witht the bottlenecks. What is you current power supply?
