Help with window preview

i was looking into some of the customization things for win7 and i clicking something and now the tabs at the bottom of my screen are text instead of a preview of whats in the tab. i think this is related to Aero but im not a big software guy so im not quite sure does anyone know how to change this problem? thanks in advance!!

Ttype advance system settings in the start search box

Click the settings under performance in advance system performance

Select "Let Windows choose what's best for my computer" or "adjust for best appearance"

tried that but it didnt help any other suggestions? i could just restore to an earlier point in time but this had happened a couple of times so id like to get to the bottom of this

Ok, right click on your desktop>personalize

and select any one of the theme under "Aero themes"

Also, in computer management>services and application>service, make sure that "Desktop Window Manager Session Manager" and the services it is depended on is set to start automatically as well.
