Hello,
Hello everyone, i have a slight dilemma, should i invest in a new graphic card or a new processor .....I'm currently running a i7920 oc@3.4 (stable) , 2Xati 5780 graphics (2gb in x-fire) , 6 gb of ocz ddr3 1600mhz of ram and a gygabite e58-ud5 mobo ???

I am not sure what you are hoping to accomplish, but if it is gaming related I would guess that a 6950 will probably do better with less power usage than the 2x 5780s

I can't really see any reason to upgrade an i7 (current gen) thing when you are using 5000 series video cards right now (old gen) especially when its a 5700 series and not a 5800 or 5900 series.

Since you dont state what you are doing with this system I am going to guess that you are gaming. I agree with Raiddinn in that I wouldnt upgrade the processor yet but look into better video card options. You might also find that by adding an SSD you can improve your performance on boot and access times.

Thank you for the reply's , new to the pc gaming scene , and yes i am using the pc for gaming (mainly ) and i have 2x5870 not 5780 (my mistake ... sorry ). I only asked in case my cpu would bottleneck my new gfx cards .......

Your Display resolution is important for giving your answer right by the way.
But for now it is very good I think. You could wait till AMD 7xxx series or so :)

If they are 5870s x 2 I don't see why you can't just use what you have.

Thank you for the reply's , i have decided to go with the gfx cards , mainly two PowerColor HD 6970 2GB GDDR5 :)  .
