Hey, this will be my first time building a PC. I have researched things for awhile and plan on ordering next month. I know everything is compatible and will work together. I plan on upgrading to SLI and two displays a couple months after the build. And yes I know that I dont need the 850W PSU. The reason is the extra wattage will help with a GPU upgrade in the future and it is the same price as the 750W I would buy. Will get a monitor and OS from a local store. So my main question is. Do I have everything I need? Mostly, am I missing any cables or connectors. That is the main thing I am unsure about. So here is the build and thanks for any feedback.

The Hyper 212+ comes with its own supply of thermal paste. It's not the best but it's sufficient. You're really spending a lot on your case, motherboard, and power supply. You will have enough to power two gtx 570 with enough headroom to overclock comfortably.

If I was you, I would buy a cheaper set of 1600mhz speed RAM from either Kingston (<$50 for 8gb ddr 1600mhz) or G.SKILL. I would then.. find another Z68 motherboard with dual x8 that gives a good amount of usb/sata connections. Lastly, I would get a cheaper case maybe $120 max but it's all up to you. I would then use the money to purchase a gtx 570 and consider sli in the future. Do note that there will be keplar coming out in 2012 and AMD is planning to release before the end of 2011 I believe..

You won't be missing anything. When you buy the motherboard, it usually comes with sata cables and whatnot... you know your power supply should come with enough pin connecters to power what yuo wanna run. Corsair has a good amount across all their psu.

Thanks for the advice.

Kinda fell in love with that case. But I also didn't search around every manufacturer. Reason is that the amount of airflow straight on the case is insane. Wanted to try and clock the i5 to near 4.5. Im also not into all those fancy side panels and LED lights. Wanted a modular power supply, and thats the cheaper 850. Will definitely look into the cheaper ASRock Extreme3 Gen3. And cheaper G.Skill RAM. After that I'll see if I can also fit in a GTX 570. Thanks again for the feedback.

Like the other poster pointed out, that cpu cooler comes with decent thermal compound...no need to get extra.

Yeah, the case is purely up to you :] If money is a concern, the 560 ti would do good with gaming for now. You won't put too much money into the GPU and you will have something to last while the newer graphic cards come in and HOPEFULLY have a good price tag tagged on.. Hope AMD and nVIDIA duke it out some more :(

By Keplar I meant nVIDIA (idk if you know but w/e) :p

Thanks for the feedback wintermint and why_me. I will definitely drop down to the ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3, G.Skill Ripjaws 8GB Cas 9, Will still probably stick with the case, but Ill look around more manufacturers and see if I can find others I like. Still rolling around the idea of a 570. But had one question about it. The mem/shader clock on the 560ti is higher than the ones on the 570. Is there a reason for that? Thanks again for the input.

Use that CPU + RAM combo I posted up above...the black heat spreaders on that Corsair ram match that board perfectly.

A 570 isn't a bad idea either. A 850w psu will easily push two of them. That psu I posted up above...the LEPA is manufactured by Enermax for LEPA...it's a good one.

Well Im not buying till sometime next month, so any combos are on a hope and a prayer. Would love to get that case and psu combo, but I don't know when it expires. And yea that is the original reason I went with the corsair vengeance, would look slick on an all black MB. But if combos expire and I'm not pinched when buying day comes around, I'll probably just stick the vengeance anyway for the matching (brings out small case of OCD in me and I can't resist). Will probably stick to 560ti's to run in SLI, will just save the extra $70 change in MB.

Thanks again for the feedback.
