Perhaps put your question in the approriate space rather than trying to fit it all in the heading. At present it doesn't entirely make sense.

Make sure you turn off all firewalls while setting up a network connection.

Are you trying to connect Windows 7 to a Windows NT 4.0 Domain? Well first thing is Are you running Windows 7 Professional, Ultimate or Enterprise? If you are using Home or Starter then you cannot do Domain join. SECOND, Make sure you are logging in ad Administrator and use the Domain Admin administrative credentials (User name and password) when you attempt to join the domain. Hope this helps.
