Hey folks,
Just got the sunday paper, either Comp usa or Circuit city is having a sale....... (I forget which)
they're selling a 30 gig Western Digital HDD (7200) for
$139.00 with a $50.00 rebate, so it ends up to be $90.00 +tax, think it's a good deal?? should I grab one?? how's western digital ?? I'll be using it for audio......
any responses are very welcome......
Let me know what you think, I've been surfing around, and the cheapest I'm seeing comparable drives (not neccessarily Western Digital) is around $150.00 - 160.00
thanx,

I got a Maxtor 7200 30gig for 129$ no rebate about ohh 2months ago. check www.pricewatch.com for pricing
remember that on relatively low cost items the shipping will be more than tax.

I personally will never buy Western Digital again. Some people like them, but I have seen too many die. I think Maxtors are super reliable and IBMs are super fast. The IBM 30 gig is under $130 on pricewatch, and it is the fastest IDE drive out there. The WD drive will probably be fine for your audio application, I'm just saying I don't trust them.

WD is "okay." It's not the best, nor is it the worst.
