I am going to be building a PC soon. I am going to be doing gaming, 3D modeling & animation, programming, and video & photo editing.

I have already decided on most things
16GB of ram
650W PSU
500GB HDD
NZXT Apollo Black Case
MSI motherboard (still deciding)

but what I cant decide on is the GPU\CPU combination

I can either get a
Core i7 2600K and a GTX 460
or
Core i5 2500K and a GTX 570

Any opinions would be great!
(I am not changing anything else besides the CPU and GPU.)

For all the activities list above excluding gaming the first combo would be the best.

Well, go for the Core i7 2600K with a 560Ti.....
Hmmmmm 500GB...... No, or go for 2 of them Better still go for a smaller HDD for the OS an Programs and add a 1TB HDD as the main data one for your Video Editing..... that'd be a long investment for sure.
Also go for a GPU with a larger VRAM , anything greater than 1.5GB would be good, if the video editing programs support GPU acceleration.
