New CPU preparations

Hey,

Tomorow i'm upgrading from a AMD Athlon LE-1640 to a AMD Athlon II x2 250, and i was wondering how do i properly prepare the PC for the new CPU?

I already updated the BIOS.I was wondering if i have to reset BIOS/change settings in my OS (win 7) or stuff like that.

reset the bios before you put the new cpu in, i made that mistake when i went from a e5400 to a e8500, spent ten minutes trying to figure out why it didnt POST then i remembered i needed to reset everything to default in the bios

Flash bios with latest version.

Reset to defaults.

Swap CPU's.

Configure BIOS.

Load up windows.
