First post, basically I am interested in Skyrim and BF3 and to be able to run them at or near high. My system

AMD 960-T phenom x2 3.4 ghz
ATI 4890
4 gig Gskill ram cas latency 7
WD black 500 gig hard drive.
gigabyte 890FX (GA 890FXA-UD5)
Corsair obsidian 800d
xfx 750W psu

All this is played on a 23inch 1920 x 1080 screen.

I have around 400 to 500 dollars for an upgrade. Would it be better for a new mobo along with a i5 series processor and wait till HD7xxx comes out. The other option is grab a 6950 or 6970 or gtx 570 now and look at a new mobo and processor with bulldozer or Ivy bridge early to mid next year? I just cant really tell what is going to be holding me back the most.

These would be a good upgrade over what you have now. A 6850, or a 6950 ($70 more) would be ideal.
