Hey Guys, I was trying to look around for some info on how to find a motherboard that would fit the specs of my future GPU and CPU, but i found nothing. I was hoping somebody could help find me a motherboard that would match them. Im getting a Sapphire Radeon HD 7850 2GB with a link here
( http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/12735096/art/sapphire-t... )
and a Phenom II X6 3.3GHz 1100T with a link here
( http://www.porthale.co.uk/products.asp?partno=HDE00ZFBG... ) I think i would prefer an Asus, but i dont have a clue about Motherboards, hope somebody can help me out, thanks (and p.s. can someone even tell me if theyre compatible at all??)

Yeah, those are compatible.

Two boards from Asus

Asus M5A99X EVO, AMD 990X, S AM3+, DDR3, SATA III - 6Gb/s, RAID SATA, PCIe 2.0 (x16), ATX £100.79

And

Asus M5A97 PRO, AMD 970, S AM3+, DDR3, SATA III - 6Gb/s, RAID SATA, PCIe 2.0 (x16), ATX £74.36

The first board can do SLI and the second one can't. That's basically the main difference between them.

More info as well, the trouble im having is that it says the GPU has a (PCI-e 3.0 x16) when most motherboards with an AM3 socket usually have (PCI-e 2.0 x16 or x8) or whatever so pleas HELP!

If you have the time, can someone also find me a cheap PSU and RAM (8GB) that fits the bill, I have a lot of trouble with compatability :(

PSU: 550W XFX Pro Series Core Edition P1-550S-UKB9, 85% Eff', 80 PLUS Bronze, SLI/CrossFire, EPS 12V, Fan, ATX v2.2, PSU £49.86

RAM: CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 - 8GB (2x4GB) Corsair DDR3 Vengeance Jet Black, PC3-12800 (1600), Non-ECC, CAS 9-9-9-24, XMP, 1.50V £38.16

They don't have any of the Low Profile Vengeance in stock at SCAN right now, but I'd go with these instead, if you can find them somewhere else.

CML8GX3M2A1600C9B - 8GB (2x4GB) Corsair DDR3 Vengeance Low Profile Cerulean Blue, PC3-12800 (1600), CAS 9-9-9-24, XMP, 1.5V

No difference between the ones with the tall heatspreaders and the Low Profile ones except for the heatspreaders themselves.

Thank you so much! 2 more questions though, if I may?

do i need a specific case or will any case do? (to mount everything) inside AND will this one work?

That case won't work with those motherboards because it's a Micro ATX case. You'll need a case that will fit a full size ATX motherboard (honestly, those are easier to find than MATX cases, anyway).

But yeah, you should be good to go. I don't see any problems with anything once you get an ATX case.
