DDR3 RAM

This might be a stupid question, but for the life of me i cant figure this out. Is DDR3 in SDRAM form only or is there a DRAM form as well? I'm not sure if i asked the question correctly but this is where i get lost.

I was being serious when i asked this question I know that SDRAM is the modern day ram and what not i was just curious if there was any form of DDR3 DRAM

Thanks for the reply. I knew there was SDRAM though. The reason ive been asking is because im in the midst of upgrading my motherboard and im not sure if it takes the original Dynamic RAM or Synchronous dynamic RAM My motherboard is an ASUS Xtreme design M4N75TD

Your mobo supports ddr3 memory. Dont think about the sdram. Just get ddr3 memory module and it will work.
