My current specs are:

Processor: i3 530
Graphics card: HD 5770
RAM: 2 GB
OS: Windows 7 32 bit

I'm planning on getting the HD 6870. Will it play nice with my i3? Is it even worth to upgrade?

I have a 1080p 22" LCD monitor. I'm not sure about the resolution (can't check right now) but I think it's 1920x1200. I usually set my games to that res, but lower it down to 1680x1050 when experiencing frame skips.

I agree with the above. While some ram will be lost to system etc its the best bet for max performance. Your resolution is important but as an i530 dosent restrict a 5850 at resolutions from 1680 x 1050 upwards and a 6870 is only a little faster any restriction would be very slight.

Nice! I'll get more RAM and upgrade to 64 bit. Save up cash for the 6870 and sell my 5770. Looks good on paper. lol...Thanks for the link. I will check it out. I'm still learning the GPU and CPU game. Having fun so far. PC gaming FTW! :bounce:
