Hey guys!
I'm building my first pc, and wanted to know your opinions on my choice of ram.
I've decided to get 16gb of ram, however I don't know which one to go for.
So far I'm in between either the:

16G Kit 1600(8Gx2) G.Skill RipJaws-X for $95

16G Kit 1600(8Gx2) G.Skill Ares for $95

I've also heard that the Ares has a problem in which the motherboard detects it as 1333 instead of 1600, which I've also heard can be easily fixed by going into the systems BIOS.
If that's true, I'd appreciate it if someone could explain the steps I'd have to take in order to do so.

Thanks guys!

What motherboard and CPU do you have? The necessary steps to configure settings depend on the type of hardware used.

Thank you

Hi!
Im building PC right now too.
Would like to buy GSkill memory, but not sure about model...
I have AMD FX-4170 CPU with GigaByte GA-GA-990FXA-UD5 board...
I want 8Gb memory KIT (4Gb x 2)..
1866 or 2133Mhz....
Could you recommend me something form GSkill products??! Thank you!!!

Here is a very good memory kit for that CPU and motherboard:

G.Skill F3-14900CL8D-8GBXM

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231538&Tpk=gskill%208gb%201866

Don't forget you need to manually input settings or enable DOCP/EOCP for optimal memory performance.

Thank you
