Does your CPU support 1600Mhz RAM?

I also have 1600mhz ram in my PC (Asus P8Z77-M), and it says 1333Mhz.

I went in to the BIOS and set XMP profile for it (abdii, try to enable this its in advanced settings under the AI tab), and the system failed to boot and reset. It will only boot if I disable XMP.

Could it be down to something else?

Wasn't asking for help, was suggesting he tries the XMP profile in the BIOS, and then suggesting it may not be that but worth a go.
