A new laptop

I am planning to buy a new laptop within next six months.Should i wait for intels new ivy bridge processors? How much time will it take to be available on various laptop models after its launch?

I would wait. The new processors stand to not just be a tad-bit faster (hopefully), but are much more energy efficient. That means longer battery life, which is always something a laptop could benefit from.

You should see laptops carrying the new processors around March/April/May (at the latest)
