Hello,

I have build new system last days and bought Point Of View GTX 295 from a friend. We have tested it there and everything was fine with it.
When i installed all my new components and fresh win 7 64 bit (tried 32 bit as well) i noticed that it freezes even in win aero. The temperatures are between 60-80.

The specs of my new system are:
Point Of View GTX 295
Gigabyte 770t-D3L
Kingston HyperX blu 1600 2x2gb 1600 but running at 1333
CoolerMaster Silent Pro 700W
AMD Phenom II X4 965

Nothing is or were clocked. The resolution of my display is 1680x1050

I have notice the following as well. When i start 3Dmark Advantage on high preset it freezes around 1:20 min. Then i disabled the use of multi-Gpu from the drivers of the card and it went both video test without freezing. Than i tried it on Extreme except that the rez was still 1680x1050 and it frozen on the second gpu test. At my friend it went the whole test on Extreme 1920x1080 without a problem.

Any help is much appreciated.

60-80 c at idle? if so, turn up the fan speed to cool it down. It is obv your system here not the card thats the prob. Try some different drivers, unintall your old ones and use driversweeper then reinstall. If that fails I would back up my data and do a fresh OS install. If that fails its some other hardware in your machine causing this

60 at idle 80 at full load.
It's the card because i checked almost every single component and only the card couse this. With other video card its ok. And the instaled OS is fresh as i said.

i thought it ran fine on your friends.

Just because a different card works in your machine does not mean its the 295 that the problem. Try the 295 in a different machine, if you get same results then its the card. in which case look to send it back
