Hello, I recently built a gaming rig, and i have been running very graphics intensive games with ease. But even on games that dont take allot out of my system still occasionally get a bit of lag ( it may skip a frame every couple of minutes). BTW these are offline games so its not internet. I fancy myself as quite knowledgeable in this area but i cant seem to understand it. I optimized my system with lots of programs like MSI afterburner to name one. I regularly run defrags an take care of my baby greatly.
My system specs are:
Intel 4 core 3.3 ghz (3.7 turbo boost) 2500k (not yet OCd)
GTX 470 Superclocked 1280 mb ( Fully OCd)
8 gigs of Ripjaw RAM1600mhz
Hard disk running at 7200rpm ( i know not the greatest but im planning on upgrading)
MSI P67A-G43 (B3) ATX Intel Motherboard

I know that this is probably perfectly normal i am just wondering to be safe.

Thanks ( yes, premature)

PS: not running any programs in the backround.

this probabley isn't similar to your problem, but when i OCed my card, my games became very unstable, so IMO try the card at stock speeds and see what happens

Sorry a bit of a mistyoe there, its a GTX 570 of course. I was running at stock for awhile but then i decided to slowly incread my voltage and clocks and it proved to be stable. I am fairly sure thats not the problem
