Im building a gaming rig plans are for i5 3570k, 8gb ripjaws ram, haven't decided on nvidia or amd yet. I was going to go with the asrock extreme 4 and it went on sale on newegg for 114.99 so i was going to snatch it up but then i seen the gigabyte z77mx-d3h for the same price and i know gigabyte is a good brand so i wanted to ask which is better for my purposes. I plan to oc and maybe sli/ crossfire in future Im leaning more toward the asrock because its not a micro atx. Just wanted another opinion

More about : gigabyte asrock

For my money, I would go with the Extreme4. If the Gigabyte was the Z77X-UD3H, then I would consider it, but not the Z77MX-D3H.

Go for the Extreme4. ^ Exactly what he said.

The Extreme4 is an amazing motherboard for it's price. You literally don't need anything more than what it offers. It's the best bang for the buck :)

Have fun!

They are both good, I would personally go for the Asrock.

I was just about to start a thread about this. I'm in the middle of trying to make the exact same decision. It's nice to get some opinions from other people. I was already leaning towards the Extreme 4 and now I'm leaning that way even more. I have a feeling that's what I'm going to end up getting.
