Good evenings guys, my cpu seems to be running at a high at idle. When I check the bios it usually idles at about 37- 42 degrees, it also shows the same temp in Asus probe II but when i check using AMD overdrive it shows 10 less which seems normal. Im using an akasa fan, i was using the stock fan which was much smaller but the the temp seekms the same. When I changed the fans over i reapplied thermal paste so it definately isn't that. Please help

Your monitor software may not be working. Try coretemp or speedfan. You don't have anything to worry about as long as your temps don't go over 60c under load.

So could the speed in the bios be incorrect also?

Probably not. 40c at idle is my average. I've been building systems for twenty years. I rarely see temps at idle below 40c.
