Thoughts on new Gaming build

Hi everyone i'm building a PC for the first time and just wanted to see what people thought of the build and let me know if i'm making any compatibility errors/stupid purchases. Im looking for a solid gaming computer right around $1600-$1700. Heres a list of the components:

  1. for a gaming computer the i5 2500k is the way to go. the i7 offers no more performance in games

    i5 2500k & Scythe mugen 3- 257$

    Corsair 600t White & Corsair 8gb 1600mhz- 212$ put the ram in the 2 & 4 spots so it doesnt hit the cpu cooler

    Gigabyte Z68 UD4- 160$

    Corsair HX850 & Samsung F3 1tb- 210$

    Corsair Force GT 120gb- 215$

    Gigabyte GTX 570- 345$

    you can get 2 gtx 570's in for 1724$ with this gpu-
