Ok, so I have just purchased a dell m14x from the dell store and I have a question about the ram. When you configure the system on the dell website it makes you choose ddr3 1600 with any of the i7 options. This seems a little strange to me since I am 90% sure that the i7 does not require ddr3 1600 but should work fine with ddr3 1333. I just wanted to check, before I bought new ram & cpu that there is not some requirement that the system does in fact need ddr3 1600.

1333 is fine. Why not buy 1600 though? RAM is dirt cheap, whats a few extra bucks for faster RAM? Also, make damn sure that the CPU you buy for that laptop is worth it, and compatible for it. Laptop CPUs are expensive...
