BIOS - Foreign Language

Hello:

I have an asrock AliveNF5-eSATA2+ rev. 2.01 motherboard and am looking for a BIOS to support AMD Phenom II X4 cpu.

I have downloaded BIOS L2.15z from a German website that says this BIOS supports the Phenom II X4.

Question:

Is it posslble that this BIOS is NOT an English version and if I load it, my BIOS menus will read in German instead of English?

Is there a way to determine what language the BIOS is? I tried a hex editor to look for english words in the code but did not find any, but I did not see anything that looked like German either.

Ps. Does anyone have a bios higher than P2.10 for the Alivenf5-esata2+ and the associated cpu support list for that BIOS?

NEVER EVER use a BIOS from a third-party website. For starters there are BIOS Viruses and after that you HIGHLY RISK 'Bricking' your MOBO.

Use the BIOS listed only at the OEM site, in this case the ASRock's website; 2.10 is the latest -> http://www.asrock.com/mb/NVIDIA/ALiveNF5-eSATA2+/?cat=Download&os=BIOS

AMD Phenom X4 = Phenom Quad Core

The fastest supported AM2+ CPU is the AMD Phenom X4 9950 Black Edition - HD995ZXAJ4BGH / HD995ZXAGHBOX.

The AMD Phenom II X4 is an AM3 socket CPU and is not supported.
