My printer isnt printing

All of a sudden my printer isn't "connected" to my laptop...it says "it's offline" I've NEVER worked "offline" and I need to print some important information out to FAX to my ins. co. asap

control panel, printers, select the printer from the list that you want to use.

Click start, click control panel, Click "view devices and printers" now click the printer that you need to be online.
there should be a green check mark next to the printer that is online, after you click it.
If the printer on the list does not have the green check mark, it is not online.

After having a similar problem, needing to print and fax a document urgently and discovering my fancy printer-scanner-fax just wont respond to anything I tried I discovered there are all sorts of online fax service (the link is one example). There are all sorts of solutions out there, I'm sure with a little searching you can find a service that suits your needs.
