Hello everyone,
For the past month I have been constantly tweaking these two builds, and I think they are finally good. I would like to run Mac OS X Snow Leopard, then use Boot Camp for Windows 7 to play games, or dual boot.
I would like to be easily able to upgrade in the future, switching out video cards, adding RAM, etc.
So, the question is, my Intel build, or my AMD build?

Approximate Purchase Date: Within a month

Budget Range: ~$750

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, Everyday Use (Internet, iTunes), School use

Parts Not Required: Keyboard, Mouse, OS

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Preferably Newegg.com, but I'm also open to Amazon.com and Tigerdirect.com

Country of Origin: USA

Parts Preferences: None really

Overclocking: Probably not for now, this is my first build after all.

SLI or Crossfire: Not for now.

Monitor Resolution: The monitor I'm going to get says 1600 x 900

So, what do you guys think I should go with? Intel, or AMD? Again, keep in mind I would like to dual boot Snow Leopard and Windows 7, or use Boot Camp, but I want a good gaming PC that I can upgrade when I need to, and preferably the build should last for a few years running games on decent to high settings.

Thank you to anyone who helps me decide.

Neither .

The rosewill case is Ok , but the power supply is not known as a quality unit

The H61 mb is a very limited little puppy so that really shoots down the intel , for me . There are P67 motherboards available for $80
MSI P67S-C43 (B3) LGA 1155 Intel P67
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

The AMD processor is not as strong , but is easily strong enough . The problem here too is the motherboard which is about to be obsolete when AMD introduce their new Bulldozer processors . No point in the 965 when the 955 is the exact same part and costs less . Overclocking it to 965 speed and beyond is simple with a modern motherboard .

ASUS M5A97 AM3+

Phenom 955

2 x2 gig of 1600 MHz , 1.5 volt RAM

CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX650 V2 650W ATX12V $70
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
Quality unit with a good record and $30 cheaper

Making the changes to the AMD build I have suggested my make a bigger 1080p monitor fit in your budget

Of the two cases I prefer the Antec . Its well made , has great cooling . The 300 illusion is a good deal for the added fans .
