Win7 only IE64 connect to the internet

I bought a new Sony VAIO some days ago and yesterday, the vaio care ran, after that it requaired me to restard the system which i did. after that a message in the message center told me to back up. So i did. Then i restared the laptop again, however after i restared it, i couldnt go online. but the internet access was great and my other PC was able to go online. None of the internet connection software (google browser, MSN, yahoo messege, ect.)could run in my laptop expect the IE64. Can anyone help me please???

Oh, i forget to mention that i tried the restore but it didn't work even though i restore the system to a earlier time before the problem existed.

Check TCP/IP Properties.

Start, Connect To, Connection, Properties, Scroll Down TCP/IP and highlight, click Properties and check that Obtain DNS and IP address automatically are enabled.
