Hello,

I recently bought a new motherboard (Biostar A880G+) to replace my old motherboard in my desktop (HP P6210Y). However, I cannot find where to place the case's power switch into this new motherboard.

I've placed the switch into this certain spot on the new motherboard** (which the old motherboard didn't have), but the fans will only spin a few seconds and then nothing will happen even if I press the power button.

I was wondering if a new case was required or is there something else I could do? Thank you.

the on /off switch is only 2 connectors not 4 thats probably a power led connector in your picture

the on off connector goes on the 2 bottom pins on the right of your picture and the reset on the bottom 2 pins on the left--the connector with 4 pins should go above the 2 pins on the bottom right--though one pin out of the 4 may be non active as the motherboard manual shows only 3 of the 4 pins being used--you need to get it the right way round as well as 2 pins are + and one -

and the hdd led goes above the reset

heres the wiring diagram

Did not your new motherboard come with a manual? If not, you can download it off theBiostar website, but anyway, the manual will tell you exactly where to hook up the power leads, and everything else for that matter, to the board. You should not even be messing with a board if you have not read the manual for it!
