Will this card fit?

I've seen some people complaining that this card is very big (about 11 inches) and barely fits in their case. I want to check on this before I buy it.

My case: Rosewill CHALLENGER
My Motherboard: ASRock Z68 Extreme4
The card: MSI R6950-2PM2D2GD5

By my calculations, the case is 18.5 inches long, and the card will take 11 inches starting from the back, so I should have 7.5ish inches leftover. Not sure if this is solid math though.

You need to subtract the width of the hard drive cage. You definitely won't have 7.5 inches left.

I measured the length of the optical drive bays and that was about 6ish inches (and the hard drive cage will be less, so if it fits here it fits for good), so in theory I should still have an inch or two left over, no?

Sounds to me you dont have the case yet? If you are still in the market for a case i would go with http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119233&Tpk=haf%20912 This case will fit any card for years to come as well as has some very good options
