I recently bought a MSI 6950 card to put in my machine. Before I was using onboard graphics on the ASUS M4A88T - v EVO USB3 motherboard. When I first got the card I put it in and installed the drivers for it and tried to run it and things started to freeze on my computer then it would give me a "AMD driver has stopped responding but has recovered." So I tried uninstalling the drivers and trying again. I checked the CPU temp and the GPU temp at the time of the freeze. I also did a fresh install of Windows 7 32 bit. I even replaced the PSU I had to another one to see if it would help. I am not sure what else to do. Could the card be faulty? any other suggestions?

CPU: AMD Phemon II X4 3.2ghz stock
GPU: Radeon MSI 6950 stock
MB: Asus M4A88T - V EVO USB3
RAM: 4gb DDR3
PSU APOWER 800W 2 12V rails both at 28A
or Thermaltake 600W 2 12V rails one at 34A and the other at 24A

Any help is great thank you for your time!

Did you disable the onboard card? That could be interfering with the 6950. If you did then check your CPU and memory, sometimes your cpu or ram can fail and windows could mistake it for graphics card failure.

use that to test your ram and use prime95 to test cpu.
