I have been working on my computer for the last month and the last decision i have to make is what graphics card to use i am stuck between using 2 gtx 560 ti in sli or an Asus gtx 580 matrix. I am worried that less games take advantage of sli but I also am afraid if I go with the matrix that i wont have as good fps and I wont have enough space to go sli in the future. any input is much appreciated

Two 560's in SLI will thrash one 580, and I'm pretty sure any game that doesn't support SLI can be run maxed out easily by one 560. javascript:%20validform(this);

1. Full specs?
2. Gaming res?
3. 560 will kick a$$
4. I doubt u need such performance, what games are we talking about?

Who are you to decide how much performance someone needs?

That's way more PSU than you need for SLi'd 560's or a single 580.

I honestly am going for the 580 for now...its just as good...

What I am doing is getting a 580...and in the future if I have to SLI *which wont be for a while* then the price of 580 would have went down a bit.

So...really its your option if you want a great performance now...the SLI or the 580 will do great...or..if you wish for as I say a "investment" :p  get the 580 and in the future you could SLI that =D

I am going based more on my opinion then fact! Either option is still great though!

I say go with the 580, because some games do have problems when using multiple GPU's. Plus 2x560's and 580 should be able to max out games for a long time.
