T61 not compatible with this signal

Hello,
I am trying to connect Lenovo ThinkPad T61 with Sharp TV (model LC-42A53M). I'm getting error "not compatible with this signal" on the TV. Can someone advise?

How, EXACTLY, are you connecting the PC to the TV?
