Upgrading my Intel core 2 E6300

Last response: in CPUs

Hi all,

I'm looking to upgrade my processor soon, but have realised I will need a new motherboard to do so. I'm thinking of going with one of the bundles on overclockers. My max budget is around the £200 mark. My current PC spec is below and I'm a bit unsure about compatibly and if I have to stick with intel. Advice on this plus the best bundle would be a great help but I'm open to suggestions, such as just getting a CPU and MoBo, sticking with my current RAM. OR any other components people might think are lagging.

I use the machine for 3D rendering, 2D/3D CAD modeling, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, gaming [mainly MMOs].

These are the bundles I've been looking at:

Current PC spec:
Case: Antec Sonata II - UK

MoBo: Intel DP965LT

CPU: Intel core 2 E6300
[or it might be]

Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 2900 PRO

PSU: Arctic 700

RAM: [4GB total] 4x Crucial 1GB DDR2, 800 PC2-6400

HDDx2: both sATA

DVDRW: IDE [i think... see picture]

OS: Windows vista home premium 32bit

Link to pics internally, in case I missed any info:

a c 900 à CPUs
a c 154 å Intel

The X4, X6 and the 2500 will all be a large upgrade. For the value though I think the X6 would be the best buy for your use because the motherboard with the 2500K is H61 chipset.
Different c2d but
