Approximate Purchase Date: Next week or the week after

Budget Range: £500 ($900) not including OS/peripherals

System Usage from Most to Least Important: gaming - smoothly at high/extreme settings, surfing net, watching movies

Parts Not Required: all peripherals not required + OS/antivirus

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Not sure - wherever's cheapest in the UK

Country of Origin: England

Parts Preferences: Want an AMD build... Preferably a Radeon HD 6850 GPU, and a 3.0GHz+ Processor which can overclock to around 4GHz. Cooler master hyper 212 plus cooler.

Overclocking: Yes

SLI or Crossfire: No.

Additional Comments: Mustn't overheat - going to be on for long periods in the day. Want to be able to play games like crysis 2 at high/extreme settings smoothly with high framerates.

Thanks.

Another good option is AMD A8 along with 6670 for Dual Graphics. I have just build a system like this for a friend and we are really surprised on how well it perfoms!

I know you said you want an AMD build but heres a good idea if you can consider Intel.

Intel Core i5-2500k - £159.59
4GB Mushkin Blackline - £25.85
Seagate Barracuda 500GB - £30.24
Gigabyte GA-Z68A-D3 - £77.56
XFX ATI Radeon HD 6850 - £124.99
450W XFX Core Edition - £34.80
Xigmatek Asgard - £28.99
DVD Burner - £13.93

Total - £495.95 Before Shipping.

Doesn't have the cooler but youre not going to need to overclock for a while anyway.

I'd go with the i5 build now, or wait a month and see how bulldozer performs
