Best controller card for a server

Im using GSS 2.5 to image system of a server. I was wondering which controller card would be the best on a server for the best I/o performance. Aslo what switch has the best performance.

Intel makes some nice Server cards. For a switch, find something Sicso with a 10K pricetag, should be pretty speedy.
