Which one is better, I will be playing runescape on multi accounts *NOT MONITORS* and was wondering which one was better, here are the links to the ones I am thinking of getting. One or the other, also if there is better cards for that price range then i'll buy.

Card 1 ---->http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127562&cm_re=6950_frozr-_-14-127-562-_-Product
or the same kind but the 3rd edition which is http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127575&cm_re=6950_frozr-_-14-127-575-_-Product

I was gonna purchase this one but after reading someones post on here they said the 2gb is better. I was reading for performance wise, the gtx 560 ti was better. Remember, I will be playing runescape with these cards on multi accounts, using bots. I think runescape has a direct x engine.. Either way, which one to get. the GTX 560 ti is 245.00 and the 2gb 6950 is 289.99 and the other edition of the 6950 is 299.99

Thats only in 1 game tho i am playing on 1680 x 1050. Also I think runescape is 3D, so which card would be better, im gonna be running like 5 3d runescape games.

So your going to be gaming with 3d glasses or are you talking about the game in terms of 2d 3d game world? I think between the 2 cards the 6950 is better IMO if you plan on going full 3d as in images popping off the screen I think you have to go with the nvidia card but not sure that level of card works well with 3d.

well i was thinking of doing multi monitors now i guess. This would be awesome to have bots running on the right and on the left my normal gaming would 6950 be the best for this?

More than 2 screens and you need an AMD card (6950/6970) OR 2 Nvidia cards so for 3 screens yes go with the 6950 or 6970 if you can afford it.

Well the 6950's with aftermarket coolers (twin Frozer 2 and 3) dont unlock to the 6970. I had success unlocking a XFX 6950 to a 6970 but get better performance from the 6950 twin frozr because it is much more stable when over clocked. Because I have the card clocked way past a stock 6970 I get better frame rates that i did with my 6950 unlocked to stock 6970 specs. Add the fact that overclocking cant be traced when doen with software and not a bios flash and that means you dont void your warantee were flashing a 6950 to a 6970 will void the warantee and im happy with my OCed 6950. Also it is quieter and stays much cooler because of the better dule fan cooler.

To unlock the card you have to flash the bios. The main reason this is something alot of people did/do with the 6950 is that it has a dule bios with a switch. SO if you attempt to flash the bios and mess up you just flip the switch and your cool. The Twin Frozer 2 6950 does not have that switch so I would not recommend flashing that card you could brick it. I unlocked a XFX 6950 but the temps got real high and I had some artifacting so I got a different card. Now on any site you go to they recommend that you dont overclock a unlocked card past the stock 6970 settings.

The reason I recommend the 6950 twin frozer is based on the fact that it has 2 fans and that will mean 2 things for you. One its quiet and thats just a bonus not very important at least to me. The second thing is it will stay much cooler so you can puch the overclock a bit more. Based on Crysis and Metro 2033 I get more FPS with my stock 6950 overclocked to 940core and 1450mem than I did with the XFX 6950 unlocked. I use MSI Afterburner to overclock my card so Im not altering any bios or anything like that so the warantee is cool.

No I have the card and can tell you 100% that there is no switch. Also I think the non reference cards cant unlock anyway so I would just get the Twin Frozer 6950 and learn to use MSI Afterburner and OC that card and stard destroying games :)

Yeah its faster to CO that card that to flash another one and in my exuberance more stable. Again I have had both setups The one im on now is a stock 6950 that I used MSI Afterburner to over clock. With that setup I get more FPS in Crysis and Metro 2033 that I did with the flashed 6950>>6970 I had. And its cooler quieter and has no artifacting.
