Hello,
Anyone know a cheap but good CD burner? I'm looking to buy one, and so far the best price is for a Fujitsu Spinbird (data, in German, here: http://www.arlt.com/shop/warenkorb.php?submit=get_it&wg=113&wgname=cdlauf&artnr=1130218), but anyone know it's performance?

Also, links to websites that review CD-burners would also be appreciated.. thanks!

Louis

I suggest one of the lower-speed Plextors. I would personally be against the Fujitsu.

That site seems a little high in their prices.
I just bought the acer 8x4x32 with a 8mb buffer for $128.00,(retail version) and that sight has it for $330.00
I also have seen the plextor 8x4x32 with 4mb buffer for around $150.00
I really like pricewatch!
Bob:)

Yes, Pricewatch is really good for the US, and Computers-Canada is great for Canada. I find NCIX to be a good place if you want reference, however.

Well, what price range do you consider "cheap"?

The Plextor 8x4x32 burners give great performance at a reasonable price.

My Yamaha CRW8424EZ is cheap, it has 4MB of buffer and it almost never burned out a CD-R, except when there are other problem, like HD, primary CD-ROM reader... It's a 8x4x24.

Asus A7V w/ AMD Athlon 750, this is my "Milene"! From Porto Alegre - RS.

why would any one want to spend so much money on something they will use once every week tops? I would recommend the Mitsumi 4804TE ($85 at www.pricewatch.com). Of course its not as fast as its $150 "brothers", but i think 4x4x24 is fast enough (pricewise). Most importantly it can both read and write using clonecd (#1 reason to get the mitsumi).
Of course i've got one, and life is sweet :)
